according to the report, BASF's sustainable development goal is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In 2020, BASF Greater China's total greenhouse gas emissions from chemical production and operation decreased for the fourth consecutive year, to 1.101 million tons, and 1.109 million tons in 2019. BASF Greater China's atmospheric pollutant emissions from chemical production and operation were 252 tons, 299 tons in 2019, a year-on-year decrease of 16%. This is partly due to the investment and transformation of NMVOC (dust and non methane volatile organic compounds) treatment process in multiple production bases
